The Sherline End Mill Holder 1/4″ – 1/4 is designed to enhance the functionality of milling machines by securely holding end mills in place. This holder screws onto the threaded end of the mill spindle and utilizes a single 10-32 set screw to ensure the end mill remains stationary during heavy cuts, providing more support compared to a collet. The design allows for the use of longer or double-ended end mills, increasing the versatility of the milling machine.

This end mill holder is particularly beneficial for CNC operations, as it facilitates a quick-change tool system. By keeping cutters mounted in their own holders, users can swiftly switch between tools without altering the tool length values in the CNC program. Note: The thread pitch diameter on both the end mill holder and the headstock spindle is held to a tight tolerance to minimize runout. It is recommended to apply a drop of light oil on the threads before initial use, as some holders may fit tightly at first.
