The Devantech MD49 24V 5A Dual H-Bridge Motor Driver is designed to work with Devantech’s Devantech 24V, 49:1 Gear Motor w/ Encoder. It is controllled by Serial interface at 9600 or 38400 baud and drives two motors. It features two modes of operation, direct individual control of the motors or the ability to send a speed and a turn commands.

Features:

  • Reads motor encoders and provides counts for determining distance traveled and direction of rotation
  • Drives two motors with independent or combined control
  • Motor current is readable
  • Only 24V is required to power the module
  • Steering feature, motors can be commanded to turn by sent value
  • Variable acceleration and power regulation also included
  • Protection against short circuit output, over current and incorrect voltage
  • An error LED and error byte for diagnosis of faults is included
  • Current: Up to 5A for each motor
  • Encoder: Processes quadrature encoder inputs of 980 counts per wheel turn from the Devantech 24V, 49:1 Gear Motor w/ Encoder
  • Features under & over voltage protection, motor short circuit protection
