The Waveshare SIM8262E-M2 5G HAT for Raspberry Pi, Quad Antenna 5G NSA, Multi-Band, 5G/4G/3G Compatible (No Case) is a versatile module designed to enhance connectivity for Raspberry Pi and Jetson Nano devices. It supports both 5G NSA and SA networking, providing robust multi-mode and multi-band capabilities. The HAT is built on the Qualcomm platform and offers multi-constellation dual-band positioning, compatible with GPS, Beidou, Glonass, Galileo, and QZSS systems.

This HAT is equipped with a USB 3.1 port, which is also compatible with USB 2.0, ensuring high-speed 5G communication. It features a standard M.2 B KEY slot, allowing compatibility with various 5G modules. The board includes essential control pins such as UART, PWR, and RST, alongside a USB-C connector for standalone power supply. Additionally, it has a power supply on/off switch, a reset button, and an LED indicator for operational convenience.

The device is designed with four SMA to IPEX antenna connectors and two SIM card slots, enhancing its connectivity options. It also includes an onboard audio jack and audio decoder, supported by a high-efficiency power supply circuit capable of delivering up to 3A output current. The HAT’s stackable design allows for the integration of additional HATs, making it suitable for complex projects.

Compatible with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Android, the HAT supports phone call and SMS operations via AT commands. It is ideal for applications like 5G wireless routers and live streaming, benefiting from high-speed cooling for effective heat dissipation.
