The Waveshare 4-DOF Metal Robot Arm Kit for Raspberry Pi, Bluetooth/WiFi is an advanced robotic arm designed to enhance the exploration of artificial intelligence and robotics. This kit is equipped with a servo driver HAT, a robust metal mechanical arm structure, and four metal gear servos, providing a comprehensive solution for robotics enthusiasts. The arm is easily controlled via a smartphone through Bluetooth or WiFi when integrated with a Raspberry Pi.
The servo driver HAT features a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header, making it compatible with Raspberry Pi series boards and Jetson Nano. It is I2C controlled, requiring only two pins, and supports up to 16-channel servo/PWM outputs with a 12-bit resolution for each channel. The integrated 5V regulator can deliver up to 3A output current, and the device can be powered from a battery through the VIN terminal. The standard servo interface supports commonly used servos, and reserved I2C control pins allow for compatibility with other control boards.
