This module enables the delivery of DC voltage through an Ethernet cable, allowing connected devices to utilize the network as a power source. It is particularly suitable for environments where space is at a premium and is compatible with a range of applications including IP cameras, biometric readers, RFID systems, wireless access points, HDBaseT extenders, VOIP phones, and networked audio devices. The module is engineered for ease of assembly and includes a built-in cooling fan to maintain optimal operating temperatures. It adheres to the IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at PoE standards, ensuring compatibility with compliant network switches or power-sourcing equipment. To ensure stable continuous operation at high loads, active airflow and adequate cooling are required.

Warning: The PoE power output must be within the power budget of the switch when powering multiple boards. A standards-compliant power over Ethernet switch is required. The network switch or power sourcing equipment must comply with the IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at PoE standard, particularly section 33.4.1 regarding PSE electrical isolation of the leads. “Passive PoE” (DC 24V or 48V) is not standards compliant and may cause damage to equipment. This product should not be used in an enclosed case without active air circulation to prevent overheating.
