The Brown Dog Gadgets Crazy Circuits Bit Board Basic significantly enhances the functionality of a standard Micro:Bit by expanding its interface capabilities from 3 to 20 ports. This expansion allows for the connection of multiple components, such as LEDs and buttons, enabling the creation of more complex projects within the Micro:Bit environment. The Bit Board facilitates the connection of standard servos and sensors through five five-pin header strips located on its backside. Additionally, it supports external battery connections via dedicated power pins, brick-based connection holes, or a power screw terminal port.

The Bit Board Basic Kit includes a 2 AAA battery holder with a special connection port to power the board. It features a built-in relay connected to Pin 16, allowing users to control components like motors or mechanical buzzers, which the Micro:Bit alone cannot manage. Version 1.5 of the Bit Board introduces dedicated Pin Headers for Pins 19 and 20, enabling the connection of advanced SCL, SDA, and I2C accessories, essential for components such as Real Time Clocks and OLED Displays.
