The Phidgets Spiral Beam Coupling 5mm – 5mm is designed to connect two shafts of 5mm diameter securely. It features a spiral cut design that accommodates up to 2° of angular misalignment and 0.12mm of eccentric misalignment, thereby reducing wear on the system. Installation is facilitated by two set screws per shaft, ensuring a firm hold. The coupling’s flexibility helps in maintaining system integrity despite minor misalignments. Note: New stock requires a 2mm hex key for the M4 set screws.
