This system includes CNC thrust collars, which facilitate the integration of stepper motors, thereby enabling precise control over the lathe’s movements. The digital readout system operates by electronically translating handwheel rotations into table movements, rather than measuring the table movement directly. This feature is particularly beneficial for CNC users who wish to verify the accuracy of the leadscrew movement against the CNC input, ensuring that the axis has moved the intended distance as dictated by the stepper motor input.

An innovative aspect of this system is its cost-effective design, which allows owners of both a lathe and a mill to utilize a single electronic display box for both machines. This is achieved by simply unplugging the input cables from one machine and transferring the readout box to the other, thus eliminating the need for multiple display units.
