This upgrade package allows the conversion of existing mills into an 8-direction mill, providing additional functionality for more complex projects. The package includes a modified base and all necessary attachment screws to ensure a proper fit with the existing mill models. Additionally, a column travel extension is included, enabling the headstock to be positioned closer to the table for improved precision and versatility.

This upgrade features an adapter base that offsets the column back by an additional two inches, thereby increasing the Y-axis capacity to match that of the 2000-series, 8-direction mill. Note: If upgrading a 5000/5400 series mill with a brass tube leadscrew cover for the Y-axis, the column upgrade cannot be used without removing the brass tube.
