The Sherline CNC-Ready Lathe Upgrade Kit for 4000/4500, X Axis Motor Mount (“) enables the transformation of any existing Sherline lathe into a CNC-ready machine. This conversion requires the drilling and tapping of several holes to secure the stepper motor mounts. The kit provides drill blocks that are affixed to the lathe’s table or bed using an existing hole, facilitating the drilling of two additional holes with precision. Once drilled, these holes are tapped, and the new mount is installed, necessitating the replacement of the lathe leadscrew with a new one. This upgrade kit is specifically designed for the X-Axis of the Sherline 4000/4500 lathe models.
