The Sherline Dovetail-Base Headstock w/ 90-Volt DC Motor 3/4-16 #1m Taper is a precision-engineered component designed for industrial applications, drawing its design from the headstock used in Sherline lathes and milling machines. Constructed from extruded 6061-T6 aluminum, it features a durable black anodized finish. This headstock is equipped with a 3/4-16 #1 Morse taper spindle, which is supported by lifetime lubricated Class 5 bearings. These bearings are known for their accuracy, tighter tolerances, and smoother operation, allowing for a continuous speed of up to 4,000 RPM, with the potential to reach 10,000 RPM with adjusted preload settings.
The headstock’s dovetail base is designed to fit seamlessly with Sherline’s steel dovetailed bed and column materials, ensuring stability and precision during operation.
