The Waveshare 4.01″ ACeP 7-Color E-Paper E-Ink Display HAT for Raspberry Pi, 640×400 Pixels is an advanced display module designed for integration with Raspberry Pi and other compatible boards. Utilizing Advanced Color ePaper (ACeP) technology, this display supports a 7-color palette, providing a vivid and paper-like viewing experience. The display operates with ultra-low power consumption, requiring energy primarily for refreshing the content, and it retains the last displayed image even when powered down.
This e-paper display features a wide viewing angle of over 170 degrees, ensuring clarity and readability from various perspectives. It is passively reflective, meaning it relies on ambient light for visibility, similar to traditional paper, which makes it ideal for prolonged reading without causing eye strain. The display is particularly suitable for applications such as price tags, shelf labels, and industrial instruments.
The module is equipped with a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header and an SPI interface, allowing seamless connectivity with Raspberry Pi series boards, Jetson Nano, Arduino, STM32, and other controller boards. An onboard voltage translator ensures compatibility with both 3.3V and 5V microcontroller units (MCUs). Development resources and manuals are provided to facilitate integration and application development.
