The Waveshare 5G Dongle Module, Quad Antennas, USB 3.1 Port, Aluminum Alloy Heatsink, M.2 Key B Interface (RM520N-GL) is a sophisticated device designed to facilitate high-speed 5G network connectivity. It is equipped with a USB 3.1 Type A port, allowing seamless connection to various host boards such as PCs, Raspberry Pi, and Jetson Nano. This module supports 5G modules with an M.2 (NGFF) Key B interface and is compatible with SIMCom, Quectel, and Fibocom 5G modules, accommodating the 3042/3052 form factor.
The device features four SMA antenna connectors, ensuring easy installation and optimal signal reception. An onboard SIM card slot is available for a NANO SIM card, enhancing its versatility. Additionally, the module includes power and network indicators, along with multiple reserved pads, to monitor the module’s operating status and facilitate testing of other functions.
Constructed with a customized aluminum alloy heatsink, the module ensures effective heat dissipation, providing protection and durability. The PCB ENIG process, along with reserved multi slots and positioning holes, allows for easy integration into various systems.
