The Waveshare Cat-1/GSM/GPRS/GNSS HAT for Raspberry Pi, Based on A7670E Module, LTE Cat-1/2G Support, GNSS is a versatile module designed to enhance Raspberry Pi boards with advanced communication capabilities. It supports LTE Cat-1 and 2G networks, enabling functionalities such as telephone calls, SMS, and both LBS and GNSS positioning. The module is compatible with various wireless communication modes, including LTE-TDD, LTE-FDD, GSM, GPRS, and EDGE, offering a downlink rate of up to 10Mbps and an uplink rate of up to 5Mbps. It is suitable for IoT applications, such as remote information processing, monitoring devices, and satellite positioning.

This HAT supports multiple operating systems, including Windows and Linux, and is compatible with the SIM7000/SIM7070 series in size, with AT commands mostly compatible with the SIM7600 series. It features a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header, supporting protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP(s), MQTT(s), FTP(s), and SSL. The module includes an onboard USB interface for testing AT commands and network communication, as well as an audio jack for sound recording and telephone calls. It also supports GPS, BeiDou, and GLONASS positioning, and includes a TTS feature for converting text to speech.

The module is equipped with a SIM card slot supporting 1.8V/3V SIM cards and two LED indicators for monitoring operating status. It comes with development resources and a manual, providing examples for Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, Arduino, and STM32 applications.
