The Waveshare ESP32-S3 1.69″ Touch Display Development Board, 240×280 Pixels, Accelerometer & Gyroscope is a compact and high-performance microcontroller unit designed for seamless integration into various smart devices. It features a 1.69-inch capacitive touch display with a resolution of 240×280 pixels, providing vibrant and clear color images. The board is powered by the ESP32-S3R8 Xtensa® 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor, capable of operating at frequencies up to 240MHz, and supports both 2.4GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® 5 (LE) connectivity through an onboard antenna.
This development board is equipped with a 6-axis IMU, comprising a 3-axis accelerometer and a 3-axis gyroscope, enabling motion detection and gesture recognition. It also includes a real-time clock (RTC) chip with a rechargeable battery header, ensuring accurate timekeeping. The board supports flexible power management and low power consumption, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
Additional features include a Type-C connector for programming and log printing, a lithium battery recharge manager, and various buttons for custom function development. The board’s design facilitates easy connection of peripherals and debugging through reserved GPIO, I2C, and UART interfaces. Its high touch screen transmittance and fast response time enhance user interaction, making it ideal for developing human-computer interaction functions.
