The Waveshare LC29H Series Dual-Band GPS Module for Raspberry Pi, Dual-Band L1+L5 Positioning GPS/RTK is a sophisticated GNSS expansion board designed to enhance Raspberry Pi applications with dual-band RTK capabilities. It employs dual-band L1+L5 positioning technology, offering centimeter-level accuracy, which is crucial for applications requiring precise location data. The module is equipped with a GNSS active positioning antenna and supports simultaneous tracking of L1+L5 dual-band satellite signals, effectively reducing multipath effects in urban environments and improving positioning accuracy while maintaining low power consumption.
This module is capable of concurrent reception of multiple GNSS systems, including GPS, BDS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS, making it versatile for various global applications. It is particularly suitable for real-time tracking systems and sharing economy applications, such as smart farm machinery and shared two-wheelers. The LC29H(BS) GPS/RTK HAT supports GNSS raw observation and correction data output, making it ideal for establishing an RTK base station. It features multi-frequency active interference cancellation to suppress or eliminate narrowband signal interference, ensuring navigation accuracy.
Additionally, the module supports A-GNSS to reduce the time to first fix (TTFF) with a cold start to just 5 seconds. It includes online development resources and a manual with Python examples for Raspberry Pi/Jetson Nano, facilitating ease of use and integration into various projects.
