The Waveshare RM500U-CNV 5G HAT for Raspberry Pi, Quad Antenna LTE-A, Multi Band, 5G/4G/3G (Case, EU) is a sophisticated module designed to facilitate advanced networking capabilities, supporting 5G, 4G, and 3G connections. It is engineered to integrate seamlessly with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Android, through its multi-driver and software support. The module is equipped with a USB 3.1 port, which is backward compatible with USB 2.0, ensuring high-speed 5G communication. Additionally, it features a standard M.2 B KEY slot, compatible with a range of 5G modules, enhancing its versatility.

This HAT includes essential components such as onboard UART, PWR, and RST control pins, a built-in voltage level translator, and a USB-C connector for a standalone power supply, which ensures stable and flexible power management. It also incorporates a power supply on/off switch, a reset button, and an LED indicator for monitoring the module’s operational status. The dual SIM card slots support dual card single standby, which can be switched via AT command, and the power supply circuit is capable of delivering up to 3A output current.

The module supports both 5G NSA and SA networking, as well as 4G/3G internet, making it easy to establish a high-speed 5G network connection with minimal configuration.
