The Waveshare RM500U-CNV 5G HAT for Raspberry Pi, Quad Antenna LTE-A, Multi Band, 5G/4G/3G (Case, UK) is a sophisticated module designed to enhance networking capabilities by supporting 5G, 4G, and 3G connections. It is engineered to integrate seamlessly with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and Android, thanks to its extensive network protocol support and multi-driver compatibility. This module is equipped with a USB 3.1 port, which is also compatible with USB 2.0, facilitating high-speed 5G communication. Additionally, it features a standard M.2 B KEY slot, allowing compatibility with a range of 5G modules, including the RM500U-CNV.

The module is designed with several onboard features such as UART, PWR, and RST control pins, a built-in voltage level translator, and a USB-C connector for a standalone power supply. It also includes a power supply on/off switch, a reset button, and an LED indicator for operational convenience.
