The Waveshare Stepper Motor HAT for Raspberry Pi, Drives 2 Stepper Motors is designed to control two stepper motors with precision, supporting up to 1/32 microstepping. It is compatible with Raspberry Pi series boards and Jetson Nano, featuring a standard 40PIN GPIO extension header. The HAT integrates a dual DRV8825 motor controller IC with a microstepping indexer, facilitating easy motor control.
The device offers six microstepping modes, adjustable via DIP switches, and allows for motor drive current adjustment through a potentiometer, with a maximum output of 2.5A. It includes protection features such as Overcurrent Protection, Thermal Shutdown, and Undervoltage Lockout, and incorporates a 5V regulator to power the Raspberry Pi. Development resources and a manual with examples in BCM2835, wiringPi, and Python are provided.
