The Devantech DSX42H – dScript Expansion Module is an advanced expansion board designed to enhance the functionality of dScript modules by providing 230VAC opto inputs and two additional relays. This module is powered and controlled through the RS485 port of the connected dScript module. It features two relays capable of handling up to 16Amp at 24VDC or 250VAC, with screw terminals for normally open, normally closed, and common contacts. Additionally, it includes four optically isolated 230VAC inputs, ensuring reliable and safe operation.

The module can be powered either through a 12V connection from the dScript module using a twin pair cable or directly via screw terminals if necessary. It is compatible with various dScript modules, including dS2242, dS378, dS3484, dS2824, dS2832, and dS2408. The module supports cable lengths of up to 300 meters, contingent on the quality of the cable used.

Configuration of the DSX42H is straightforward, facilitated through the dSx configuration page on the dScript module. Once configured, the relays and inputs function as if they were integrated locally within the system.
