The Devantech RD02 – 12v Robot Drive is a comprehensive drive system designed for seamless integration into robotic projects. It includes an MD25 motor drive module, two EMG30 gearmotors with encoders, and two 100mm wheels with pre-fitted hubs. The system also comes with mounting brackets, screws for motor attachment, and a hex key for the hub screw. A single 12v battery, capable of supplying a peak current of 6 Amps, is required to power the system. The onboard 5v regulator provides power for the logic and can supply up to 300mA to additional circuits. This drive system is suitable for robots weighing up to approximately 5kg.
