The DFRobot 5V Electromagnet (8 Kg Holding Force) is a compact DC sucker type electromagnet designed for applications such as DIY electromagnetic locks, smart storage cabinets, and intelligent doors. It operates at 5V and features a 1.5W power consumption. The magnetic poles can be reversed by swapping the input powers negative and positive poles. The electromagnet consists of a wire coil wrapped around an iron core, which becomes magnetized when powered and quickly demagnetizes when power is removed.

Note: The holding force is not indicative of the weight it can lift; divide by 5-10 for an estimate. Avoid long-term electrification without an attracting surface.
