The ElecFreaks Classroom Smart Pet Feeder Kit is a sophisticated device designed to feed pets in an automated manner. This kit is composed of a micro:bit v2, an IOT:bit expansion board, a PIR sensor from the Octopus series, a Sonar:bit, and a 180° 9g servo.

The functionality of the smart pet feeder is based on a two-step detection process. Initially, the PIR sensor identifies the presence of a pet in proximity. Subsequently, the sonar:bit is employed to ascertain if the pet is within a 20cm radius in front of the wooden house (not included). If both these conditions are satisfied, the servo initiates a rotation, triggering the pet food storage box to dispense the food. Once the food has been dispensed, the servo reverts to its original position, ready for the next feeding cycle.
