The Flashing Heartbeat Soldering Kit includes a heart-shaped PCB that will be able to stand on its own once you’ve finished assembling it. You will need to solder 24 red LEDs, along with lots of other components.

Discover this interactive solder kit that reacts to your presence by flashing its red LEDs in a heartbeat sequence. Once finished, the heartbeat gadget will be able to detect your presence or any form of movement from a distance. It has an onboard infrared light and an infrared receiver.

As long as the infrared receiver ‘sees’ the infrared light, the LEDs won’t work. When the receiver can’t ‘see’ the infrared light anymore, because something or someone has come in between, the LEDs will start to flash.
