The iFlight Centurion X8 O3 6S HD (No Receiver, no Battery) represents a significant advancement in cinelifter technology, developed through a collaboration between 2RAW and iFlight. This drone is equipped with custom-designed electronics, including motors and a unique Thunder 8-in-1 ESC, known for its superior filtering capabilities. The integration of the 2RAW Thunder H7 Flight Controller enhances its performance, making it a formidable 6s craft. Additionally, it features advanced GPS chips with an enlarged antenna for rapid and precise satellite acquisition.

The Centurion incorporates advanced truss arms with an A-frame design, ensuring exceptional stiffness while maintaining a lightweight structure, which contributes to its outstanding performance. Its innovative camera mount, crafted from 7075 aero-grade aluminum, allows for adjustable angles between 10 to 50 degrees. This mount is designed to keep propellers out of the camera’s view and is supported along both horizontal and vertical axes to reduce payload resonances, providing increased support as the camera angle rises for higher speeds.

The AeroShell of the Centurion not only gives it a distinctive appearance but also optimizes airflow around the drone. Engineered with the assistance of PhD students, it regulates airflow to cool the ESC and directs air away from the flat top plate as speed increases. The shell also acts as a barrier against dirt infiltration into the electronics. The thermal cooling system ensures consistent airflow across the electronics, with an aluminum heatsink and fan assembly on the O3 Air Unit to prevent overheating, even in extreme conditions.

The Centurion features a quick-release battery system that enhances efficiency in demanding filming environments. This system uses battery straps and carbon plates, allowing for swift battery swaps without the need for individual tie-downs, thus maximizing productivity.
