The Seeedstudio 125KHz RFID Module – UART is designed for reading code from a 125KHz compatible card with read-only tags and read/write card. It can be applied in office security, home security, personal identification, access control, anti-forgery, interactive toy and production control systems, etc. This Seeedstudio 125KHz RFID Module – UART supports external antenna which is included.  The maximum effective distance is up to 150mm.
