The SpringRC High Torque Continuous Rotation Servo is a robust and versatile component designed for continuous rotation applications. It delivers a substantial torque of 12 kg·cm, making it suitable for various mechanical systems in radio-controlled models. Unlike standard servos, this model is engineered to convert RC servo position pulses into continuous rotation speed, allowing for precise control over velocity rather than position.
This servo is equipped with two ball bearings on the output shaft, which significantly reduces friction and enhances performance. It also features an accessible rest-point adjustment potentiometer, enabling users to fine-tune the default rest point of 1.5 ms. Adjustments can be made using a small slotted screwdriver, with pulse widths above the rest point inducing counterclockwise rotation and those below causing clockwise rotation.
The SpringRC High Torque Continuous Rotation Servo is ideal for hobbyist applications, such as steering in remote-controlled cars or controlling flaps on model planes. However, it is not intended for industrial-grade tasks or continuous heavy use. The servo can be directly connected to a Phidgets servo controller and comes with various heads for flexible mounting options.
