The Waveshare 5G M.2 to Gigabit Ethernet Converter, 5G M.2 to USB3.1, Aluminum Alloy Case, Quad Antennas (US) is a sophisticated device designed to facilitate high-speed 5G networking. It supports 5G modules with an M.2 (NGFF) Key B interface and is compatible with mainstream 5G modules from brands such as SIMCom, Quectel, and Fibocom. The converter is equipped with an onboard RTL8125 Ethernet chip, enabling seamless conversion from 5G to Gigabit Ethernet, thus ensuring efficient data transmission.

The device features an onboard USB 3.1 Type-A port, which allows for high-speed 5G networking or debugging when connected to a PC, Raspberry Pi, or Jetson series motherboards. It also includes a voltage translator circuit that supports a 9-12V power supply via a DC jack or a 5V/2A power supply via the USB 3.1 port. The aluminum alloy enclosure, crafted with an oxidation dull-polish surface and CNC process opening, provides durability and supports both desktop and wall-mount installations.

This converter offers multiple operating modes, including USB3.1 Port Direct Connection Mode, Gigabit Ethernet Port Direct Connection Mode, Router Mode, and simultaneous networking via both USB 3.1 and Gigabit Ethernet ports.
